Any visa works
Tourist visa, visa exemption stamp, or a long-term visa. No minimum visa type, no waiting period before you can start.
Residency not required
The “residence certificate” sounds serious. It’s a one-page address slip: 500 ฿, issued in a day - tourists get one too.
No home license needed
Never held one? That’s the standard case, not the exception. Most people in the group are in the same position.

A short visit to the school with your passport and cash. This is the cut-off for this week’s group.

Fingerprints
A full day out. Transport is included - you’re picked up and brought back.

Exam day
Pick-up at 6:00. Lectures in Thai and English, practice, then the theory test. Lunch is included. Back in the evening.

Can I do this on a tourist visa?
Yes. A tourist visa, a visa exemption stamp, or any long-term visa all work. There is no minimum visa type and no waiting period.
Do I need a residence certificate?
The residence certificate is a one-page address slip from immigration. It costs 500 ฿ and is issued in a day. Tourists can get one too. We can handle it and other documents for you.
Do I need a license from my own country?
No. Never having held a license is the standard case. If you do have one with a valid International Driving Permit, you can convert instead - and a Russian license converts even without an IDP.
How many days will I actually spend?
Four appointments: register Wednesday, fingerprints Thursday, exam Saturday, and collect the license the following Tuesday. Transport is included on the full days.
What if I fail the test?
You go back into the queue and try again twenty minutes later, the same day, as many times as needed. None of our clients has left without a license.

How long is the license valid?
Two years from issue. A renewal to five years is available later with a work permit or a retirement visa.
