Specific to renewal.
What exactly counts as proof of a work permit?
The work permit book or the digital permit, valid on the day of the appointment. The employer’s name has to match the one on file.
Does a retirement visa qualify?
Yes. A non-immigrant O or O-A retirement extension qualifies on its own — no work permit needed alongside it.
Can I renew a five-year licence that’s already expiring?
Yes. A five-year licence is renewed to another five years the same way, in one visit.
What if my licence expired a while ago?
Up to a year past expiry it is still a renewal. Beyond that the theory test comes back, and past three years the process starts again from scratch — 10,000 ฿ for category A.
Do I need to retake anything?
No theory, no practical, no lectures, provided the licence is current or recently expired. The medical certificate is the only new document.
Can I renew both categories at once?
Yes, in the same visit. Message us with both licences and we’ll quote the pair before you go.
